Drifting

By limboy
Feels weird. I hate coming back home early in the morning. Especially if I had been to somewhere fun just a while ago. Then suddenly bambam-wham, I'm back home nursing some injuries.

Was at the 203 chalet yesterday. Location's at National Service Resort Country Club. When I first heard of the blaady fking name of the place, I stoned.

'OMG. You telling me to go to a plce where all the bald NS guys are parading around with guns and those orrbit green rice sacks that they call a bag.

However, the place was near the airport, minutes away from the runway, quite close to the ideal conditions of living by the seaside. They could have extent the place to include some parts of the East Coast Beach ya' know. Why? I took a short stroll around while the guys were bumming away on WC3 in the den. Walked behind the building to check out the sea I saw while I trudged around a while back to look for unit 38. Walking around is rather dangerous, partly cos I was imagining couples humping each other in broad daylight in the living rooom where they're exposing those explicit actions to public through the huge windows that served as walls for the 'house'. The land was not even too, like Lembu had just jumped on the land, so it looked like pot-holes enough to sink a car. As you can guess, the adventure to find the Beach is not easy. Butterflies threatened to bite me near the Green House placed ridiculously beside the fence that separated the Beach babes and yours truely.

The chalet itself wasn't really my piece of cake. Ate chicken wings --- and nothing else --- for dinner. They are so selfish cos they ate everything, despite knowing I'll be around for the second night. Furthurmore, either I'm a huge human magnet or some scary tiger, a lot of them left when I came.

Come and I shall bite!

OK. I had planned to bite someone's head off, budden he seemed to have left in a hurry. Then I also wanted to chew Kzk's head off for giving me wrong directions, making me miss the shuttle bus into the uber-ulu chalet so I had to take an expensive cab ride. Then WeeWee woke up from his nap --- probably from my shout when I entered the den --- and left. Wah liao eh.

Worse still, the management doesn't have the brain to predict that lot's of people probably stay overnight, then extra pillows and mattresses will be most welcomed. The rooms were filled. So yours truely had to stand the cold hard floor, tough-as-nails cushions that used to be attached to the sofa, and bright lights of the living room with people still watching pirated movies complete with the boom-boom of the speakers. THEN two idiots who stayed up to discuss some weird shit FORGOT about 5 other sleeping beauties in the living room, so they left the lights switched on, and almost shouted at each other throughout the 3 hours from 3 to 6. I tried to go to 'bed' at 3am, woke up at 4.30am, to switch off the lights before they quietened down. Whoah. the 1.5hrs felt like three hours of tossing and turning. Really.

The cough came back too. The headache from the awful fantastic al-fresco style dinner didn't help. Late nights add on to the pain. Took the panadol at 4.30am to subdule the pain.

Wake up call at 7am --- Kuty didn't help by declaring that his taxi's coming in 5 minutes. Breakfast at Bedok Centre was spent teaching Indian how to hold a pair of chopsticks the actual way. And he learnt of two new vegetarian chinese dish --- The sun-guey and ang-ghoo-guey.

Slept for 1 hour in the hot bedroom when I got home. And here I am, wasting away instead of setting the x'mas tree*. Feels like drifting now.

Infernal Affairs

Was watching Infernal Affairs 2 just now. Missed the first half hour part of it...thought it starts at 9pm. Checked the papers and the bloody show started at 8.30pm. Damn. Anyways, its another show on the ever-famous gangsters in Hong Kong. Tourists like us don't see any gangsters, of course. They need us to go to their contry, to buy stuff, so their business will boom, geddit?

Pretend you do.

The show started (at least the part that I watched) like a cliffhanger. Ending was worse. Aiyoh. Have to rent the video tmr then. Going for chalet tmr. Will be bashing bastards against the walls during that time. Yay.

Hard Rock.

Was at HardRock on thursday after my phy paper 5 --- partly to celebrate my last paper, and also somebody else's birthday that falls on 28th this month. I nearly forgot how to get there. Pardon me. Haven't been there for quite sometime.

I think one attraction of HardRock is their ambience --- very classic that marries the chic modern western. The last time I was there, I had to stuff myself the food they gave. The American size isn't for every kid, you see. That was last time.

This time, the menu looked horrible. I opened the book at first, anticipating a clean clearly written brown fonts on brown. But NOOOOO. The fonts has to be black on black, messed up, big and small together, red here and there. Horrijiber. Prices are not exactly cheap. Normal students can hardly afford the $20+ meal --- minimum that can give you a bloatedfull enough stomach (heck. No guy can ever complain of being too full, can we? ;-)) The fullest size meal that only the poor millionaires can afford costs around $32. Not too bad if you qualify for their promotions like say...UOB ladies' card, that gives you 15% off. which works out to be close to the $27 mark. Throw in a $3.50 for a free flow of drink, from RootBeers (they used A&W rootbeers) to Lemon Tea (real tea and just the right slice of lemon) to plain water.

We ordered a salad dish, a steak, my chicken-and-rib combo, and a taco-like spread. All tasted great. The salad had a plate that's thrice the size of my face, enough ingredients, like diced chicken, mushrooms, some hints of onions, lemon, tomato, a mysterious expensive fruit that perhaps make up for a quarter of the cost of the dish --- all enough to stone a cow to death.

Butbutbut. The highlight of the dinner wasn't really the food. Some kids had apparently booked the first floor for a party. The host for that night was JA. Yesh.

*Drums roll

Justtin Ang!

He's such a darling, I tell you. He and Jeremy Ratnam used to keep me company when I first had that radio in my bedroom. Their jokes, albeit lame and ridiculous sometimes, reflected the minds of teenkids like yours truely then, but yet had the edge of adults. So that's why I stuck with Power instead of the stupid Perfect 10. Tell me, which part of Perfect 10 is perfect? Daniel Ong? Glenn Ong, Rodney Monteiro? Jean Danker (Monteiro and Ong are in Class now, so no choice. credits to them ;-) ) Side note, Jean-and-Rod-Show aka Cartunes is from 5 to 9 weekdays on 95.0FM. Don't miss it for the world!

So anyway, JA's back. The voice took sometime to get used to over the p.a. I think the sound engineer did something to change it later. He =invited Singapore Idol Finalist Daphne Khoo to sing one of her new songs. Must say the live version of Daphne sounds better then her nasal self over TV. Besides being cute and a boom box, she's nothing much. A bit taller then I expected. Good skin over the yellow lights. The hair looked like one of those hastily tied back ones, though it could have took more time than it looked. Budden Daphne still sounded as cuddly as ever. Need a new image to grow out of the present girl-next-door one.

JA broke some ice with the kids after a song. They played musical chair. omFg. The players had to bring stuff they he said that doesn't belong to them. Straws, IC, someone's left sock, half glass of coke (he had to make sure it was coke, not half a glass of spit.) were among other things that flew to the stage.

When we left, Aunt asked one of the boys downstairs on the way down what school they were from.. I half guessed it's wither one of the hallelujah schools or hwa chong. Ended up they were mixed. Not from any particular school. Aunt commented that for all we know, it might have been one of those events where people kids got pulled off by pranksters along Orchard to pay some money for charity.

Now that I think of it, it might have been more of a few pranksters pulling pretty girls and handsome duds (yes, duds) off the Road, saying "hey! would you like to meet boys/girls? We got a chic place to party!" I mean, c'mon. if it's some kind of prom (the kids looked rather well-dressed) the front tables would be occupied. But no. The tables nearest the drums were empty. A few lads crowding a tables, another few lasses on the other side, keeping to themselves, and names like Jackson (wth calls their son Jackson???) popping up.

Alright. End of post.

Painting

By limboy
Paint job for living room is done. It made me miss my date with the '03 to accompany them to buy their prom clothes. Fancy big boys who need bigger boys to see to them buying good presentable clothes for their party of the century year.

But anyways, the paint job for the living room is done. I always said the house is too big. Today proved the theory. Not the newspaper, stupid. Gave me more pains than joy to see the living room transform from sickly-green to something close to idalic. It's supposed to be close to a shade of pink, budden I think the paint company try hard to cut cost here and there, so ended up the consumer always got a different colour from what he saw on the catelogue. Really! Is somemore planning, careful mixture, testing and less-cheap materials that expensive??

CB people. Last time also liddat. I wanted my room to be light purple, ended up the paint was all wrong and I got pink. PINK!! OMGomg.

The day went by like fly. Completed touch ups after 7 hrs plus. One small patch a yard from where I'm sitting got missed out cos yous truely was too devasted by the mess in the living room to see that kena-blocked-by-two-huge-shelves spot. Too bad it has to remain liddat for the next 5 years. No more paint alidi. Yeap. All 5 litres used a living room.

Now I got a huge pulled back muscle, which doesn't exactly help when you haven't exercised in 3 few months. OK. Tata. Got another post on my HardRock encounters.

Fantasy Vice

By limboy
I read a post by Viewtu. He was commenting on some woman who chewed on the dick of a robber who made her perform oral sex on him. Oh my. Highly strong jaws. According to the report, the woman didn't manage to bite off the penis. Conclusion: all robbers has strong-like-iron penises. We need a:

G'old strong vice

Everyone needs a vice at home to deter robbers.

Robber: Give me all you money!

Me: Wait... I'll go take.

Robber: FASTER!

*I go take the money, and hide the vice behind my back*

Me: Heh heh...here you go. (and show my set of vampire teeth that I borrowed from the toy storeroom)

Robber: AHHHHHHHHH!!! (runs away)

This Thing With Pretty Girls

By limboy
Everytime I try to remember the last memories of the pretty girl I saw, some dumb-dumb has to come along to destroy my 3 second memory. Yeah. Dawn Yang. I sure many heard of her.

(dowan to put her face on my blog, otherwise, I'll hyperventilate like one old man who's the chairman of a condo commitee, who got so angry during of of those yaya condo committee meetings, got up, banged the table, and died.)

Frankly speaking, she's pretty in the after photos. I recommend Kenny Sia's comments on Ms Dawn Yang. Partly to divert more traffic to Mr Sia's site to crash his bandwidth Muahahaha!!! to make him even more femes. :) No charge for the extra one or 2 customers though.

I'm too nice. Usually, I charge $5 for every service I give. Otherwise, its $50 per shot. Ahem...shot.

But anyway, the process of how she managed to turn from a girl-next-estate to girl-next-door intrigues me to no end. I didn't sleep while pondering of her ridiculous beauty, for the record. Still awestruck over the Sizzler girl. Hey. At least I try to grab at something that's there, and not goddesses who float around and ignore questions of them having went through surgery to look closer to Venus.

Mug.

*Re-edited note:

Bro's blog's here. I'm not sure if he likes people to see it. But nonetheless, don't care lah!

Mug:

  1. A heavy cylindrical drinking cup usually having a handle.
  2. The amount that such a cup can hold.
They should redefine mug. Perhaps:

3. Beside a textbook all day long while digging the nose and sending short messages.

Contrary to everyone expectations, I thoroughly enjoyed myself these 2 days after my third physics paper. And then I watched Matrix 1 and 2 this afternoon after flipping through some CS notes on error cheacking methods. Excess 9, Modulus 10 and 11 are soooooo crapped. Period. Ho-Myl-Liang will kill me if they see this.

Didn't prepare much materials today anyway. Screw essays. Rantings rock. Bro has been at it since this morning playing NFSU2 for the 12th time, and miraculously installing NFS High Stakes.

BTW, I find my little brother quite a hypocrite. I suppose all snakes (the zodiac) are. Even though he's a brother, I don't entertain hypos. A few days ago, he came into the room while I was going through some FHM magazines.

*something along the lines of this:"

"Eh Ko! Can go my blog? That Slyvia is flaming me on my blog"

"OK."

I hopped by both blogs just now --- Bro's and this Sylvia-girl's one. The flaming was done on Bro's turf, the girl not having any sign of discontentment with anybody. She's not vey pretty looking, so don't bother looking. Important point is, Bro got disturbed by the bozos (including this Sylvia-girl) in school, he not happy. He ended up flaming them --- the whole entire bunch --- in his not-so-private blog. Not wise. One of the bozos saw it, and gosipped the things he wrote in school. At this point, I'm not sure if it is he who wrote warped things about them in the first place, or that it is their gossips that drove him nuts to the point have having to bitch about them in his blog.

At first, I thought of taking sides --- naturally the Brother's side when he made it sound as if he was bullied (imagine a 5 feet 11" boy getting bullied in school by a bunch of wusses). I still took sides till I speed-read through both blogs and thought:

Hmm. The woman's tough as nails. Quite impossible to try to flame people who feign bliss. Well. Literally, the woman gave the impression of a huge 541-gang behind her incase any guy tries anything funny with her cb. ON the other hand, the Brother always seemed to manage to wiggle his way out by giving his piece of mind of the bozos, albeit openly and offending every other people who misread and thought it was them who said crap-shit in school --- all on the blog.

Quit it, kids. The world is so much worse you'll rather befriend the other than have to risk getting bitten by the tiger outside.

Breather

By limboy
8 days ago, the nightmare started.

8 days later, I'm blogging freely on jennifer not knwoing if my results will screw.

It's always about results, isn't it?

****

I planned out quite a busy holiday ahead. Fill it in later. The guys are going for their national service soon. I haven't got mine, even though I'm in PES A, operationally unready to take on the commando position if the gahmen calls upon my humble free service. At first, I thought they would paycompensate commandos well. Then some joker told me they get paid for only 20¢ an hour.

I risk my backside diving for your country and I get paid peanuts for my effort? No thanks. I rather pay someone else to do my dirty work. Hell. Even wipe my backside.

Whatever happened to the taxpayers' money? You mean you took the money the parents earned and gave them to the public like you're Santa Claus? Oh yeah. That reminds me.

Elections are coming closer. If I'm not wrong, NSmen get to benefit some something. If i'm not wrong, the pay is much higher. Right. And what else is new? Buangkok station opening soon? You mean SBS is so kind that they'll operate a station they know will lose them more money on that rail line? What's the story before ah? They're strictly not opening the station till somebody starts living within 400m of the station,i.e. manymanymany BLOCKS of FLATS. And this despite the people'e repeated request to open the station so they don't have to wait for another freakng hour for the only bus that runs pass that station? Most are willing to walk. Furthurmore hor, there's not anything developing around the station. It seems strange that SBS is opening the station.

"Err...It's a conincidence," says Mr Yeo Cheow Tong.

Money was also given out to the poorest dunno-how-many-percent of the population. I watched a segment of Crossfire last night. One of the guests talked briefly about how the poorest of the population who's always getting help from the gahmen, the samitarians of Singapore. Until one fine day, they dunno where to put all the donations when the storeroom is choke full of old used smelly blankets, put-till-you-rot canned fruits, canned milk.... and we all neglect the next poorest group of people who are just above the margin line and not get any benefits because thay don't fullfill the gahmen's requirement of having less then a certain amount of money.

The guest said that it's this group who's the poorest things because everybody neglects them because they're technically not poor. They're supposed to get their own fish.

Sigh. I don't mean the say anything bad of the gahmen. Please don't call the ISA on me. I mean, it's good that they're giving something back to the people after a long 'drought', if I may call it. Then we know that the gahmen does sincerely care about the people.

But anyway, PAP = gahmen. =)

I supposed if this cycle of give-not give-give-not give... continues, we should write in a letter that we want election every year. Then we can all get benefits all the time to appease us.

And just maybe, we can finally have a bus service from SMRT along Yishun Street 22, just like we had 17 years ago.

Pretty Girl

By limboy
Was at Sizzler Suntec yesterday for dinner. As usual, I went late for about 10 minutes and got an earful of why I was late. OK. That doesn't matter. I don't hold grudges for long.

Says me. =)

I think Sizzler's becoming a hangout for my folks. Went there for what? Twice since the last 3 months? I thought the food's beginning to bore me. But hell no. I think I ordered exactly what I ordered the last time round ... the tepanyaki thingy.

Boring hor?

Girl Hunting comes as a package with Boredom.

There was this pretty girl. Not the guests. The table behind mine has 3 ladies alright. I guess they don't appeal to even the desperate-iest gits. One of whom I think is in secondary school. Perhaps a convent. The look tells all. The other look like a junior college student. The third's an older hag.

There was another pretty girl who caught my eye. The receptionist/cashier/assistant manager. I can't tell her position cos everyone was helping out everywhere. At first it was another one of those touch-and-gos. While I was walking around to get my salad, the left-dimpled receptionist/cashier/assistant manager caught my blind eye.

Not too bad, I thought when I walked past her. Fabulous sincere smile.

Then she came over to clear the neighbouring table. Whoah, I thought. Nice.

If not for the steak, I might have caught a better view.

Damn. The second chance came when we were paying up. The adults were making a rather big fuss about some vouchers. I took the time to look at the super-chio receptionist/cashier/assistant manager. Hoping that she would take the transaction was hopeless. The manager pulled the adults over to the next free counter.

Aiyah. Didn't even get her name. Became awestruck for the rest of the journey home.

Next time. Next time.

Some things are priceless. For everything else, there's mastercard
