I guess reporting sick today isn't such a great idea. There's the incessant drilling by the bitch next door --- I dunno, to hang her cunt on the wall or something. Then there's going to be some cables layering downstairs. They haven't started yet for this morning, though. Might have been the cables are done, and the sand and gravel lying atop one of the parking slots is for beautifying the surroundings covered with a fine sheet of grey dust.

Besides, I just paid thirty-two freaking dollars for 2 days worth of absence from work. Lucky there's the claims system to draw back $10 from the army for making me sick.

*have to keep reminding myself I spent about 15minutes to see the private GP for 2 days worth of mc*

And that 15minutes is like 1/54541846168453498 time I usually take to see the government clinic. Ah, the luxuries money can buy...

I know I got tagged by this horrible meme. But do you know why I didn't do it? Cos I've done it already!

But along the way, the rules got changed so dramatically, with all the "XD"s and "=P", everything got changed.

Happy Belated Birthday!

I'm current in a regretful mood --- regretful for downing that beer 2 weeks ago. Now my lower abs are bloating. WHAT THE FLYING COW WAS I THINKING.

Went out yesterday for The Bourne Ultimatum. It rocks! This last part of the triology wraps up perfectly how a hard-trained soldier regained his dignity --- something that he lost together with his memory when he got knocked out, shot about 78 times and thrown over board.

Jason Bourne also lost the only loved one that matters along the way, she being the innocent victim while running away from assassins who are just as ruthless as Bourne himself. I suppose this death further fueled his determination to find out who he was before he joined this "programme".

Overall, the third parter is a good movie to start out with for those who have never in his entire life knew Bourne Identity, Bourne Supremacy existed, cos third part is the one with the most action scenes (critics were right about this). Bourne was busy either keeping himself, or someone else, or even all of them alive from the beginning till the end.

Apparently today is the 4th time I'm reporting sick at my not-so-favourite clinic for chronic case of headache, and they decided to give me a free upgrade; ticket to see the neuroscience clinic doctors.

Wow.

How rare can this be.

Anyways, I'm like 8/10 thru the first courseware, and later now, I'll be rushing through design on my second courseware. And along the way, I finally managed to see The Departed. Lame-ass version of the original 无间道. Hollywood had always liked happy endings, as seen from your typical Hollywood blockbusters like Air Force One, Matrix, Lord of The Rings. So this time round they also twisted the ending a tad bit to make the bad guys die.

Stereotypical. Given the choice, I'll watch the original all over again --- even if it takes watch all 3 parts to wash The Departed off my mind. However don't take my word to mean even the actors are lame. No they aren't. Only with the A-list actors saved the movie. Though the storyline might not have generated enough interests, the actors put on some fine show to bring back the original story.

Bah. I don't know what I'm writing.

Went out with the 6B guys yesterday. Had diner at Wheelock's Fish and Co, and later lim jiu at dunno which weird little strange bar.

If you had read this post by Kenny Sia, yours truely almost got conned by those guys too. My case happened last Friday, when me and the office guys were outside scouting for ice blended for the gate MP and my friend who was doing the guard com duty.

While I was walking in the busy market in Teck Whye, I got this unknown number. I picked it up and heard a mandarin speaking woman who shoot out words at my ear so fast, I thought I was listening to a conversation in the range chamber.

At first the woman asked for my time to do a little survey, I agreed (what the hell was I thinking?!). Suddenly I thought of 诈骗集团. Nobody in the right frame of mind will ask to do a survey during day time, unless their time zone is different from ours. Unless you haven't noticed, even when Starbub calls the residential area to promote, they choose night time to call.

Then I thought immediately of my phone bill. Taking calls from people I know, and girls asking for dates is ok, but unsolicited calls? I rather not waste my money. So mid way through her second question --- I can't quite remember what she asked cos I was busy weaving my way in and out of traffic --- I hung up on her. I didn't receive any more phone calls after that.

Think I hit a new high in hanging up on people's phone conversation. Take that, bitch!

A good way to combine busy with boring, is simple go for range. At the moment, I'm in the process of clearing my combat 1 range, so I'll be staying in quite often. Office as aircon, entertainment, what not is possible (except internet).

Let's see, we've yet to bring in

• fridge, though some of us have one
  
  
• router, still in limbo, this option. The wireless connection makes it easier to transfer our work files here and there
  
  
• an alloted pantry cubicle. Highly not recommended, though feasible. The cikaks and friends can come in as and when they like. Only the extreme range of odors is the deciding factor whether they should really enter and commit suicide at the same time. Also the bummers are fucking lazy at disposing the rubbish regularly unless I scream like a bitch to threaten to burn the fucking office down.

Wow, you know that 3SG I've been writing on? I actually saw him today. Quite sia lan, his face. Sorli, no picture available.

I don't know whether to classify yesterday as productive, or wasted. The only shows I managed to watch are Lost 3 --- about 10 episodes in total, and Legally Blonde 2 on TV.

Nonetheless, one sunday burnt in exchange for peace for the entire duration till the end of the month. And hopefully my next duty won't be until the end of next month.

Suddenly the March popped up in my head.

What a week.

Seemed just like yesterday that I was lamenting to the office guys about how much Monday sucks monkey balls, and now its Saturday --- but I'm still not ready for the week ahead. Events that happen always make the week go much faster, I find. Just have to somehow keep yourself moving and moving.

An ORDing 3SG personel (this coming monday) got hulled off to Detention Barracks yesterday, cos he was missing out on a lot of suspicious MCs, offs, leaves that he didn't officially earned or have. Supposedly we have this guy in our personel list, but we haven't seen him for ages. Our own office's 3SG has seen him some time ago cos they live near each other, and he'd see the guy regularly, but all of a sudden, this fella disappeared off the face of the earth.

When he came back to sign clearance yesterday (Friday), our department's clerk refuses to sign his clearance cos he's missing too many MCs. Worse still, he told different people different stories on who he submitetd his medical certificates to. He also has offs permitted by a certain perm staff who has already moved to another camp since 2 weeks ago --- reason for off being "Good Performance".

We have to assume good psychic performance from home to camp? Because we haven't seen him for ages.

He had to be escorted to camp yesterday, minus the handcuffs, in order for the military police to come to camp to fetch him. Worse thing is he was in civilian clothes, resulting in him having to borrow a set of no4 one of my office guy was wearing (for dunno how long). I didn't want to lend my set, even though mine was super clean, cos I don't want my goretex boots to 一去不回. If he can make himself disappear for so long, no knowing what he might do witha pair of boots I had been saving up damn long for.

3SG, without brains. Sigh.
