A friend (Chrissy), of a friend (Jaywalk) was diagnosed with leukemia. Luckily, Chrissy, a wife and a mother, managed to get a suitable match from her only sibling.

Not everybody is so.

"There are many other leukemia patients out there who also face the same battle. Leukemia is the most common form of childhood cancer. Many child leukemia sufferers die while waiting for a matching donor, never having a chance to live life to their full potential."

The awareness among Singaporeans of leukemia is still insufficient. Going forward to donate is not just about getting jabbed in the back,

its about giving someone a new lease of hope for life to go on.

We can all do our part by registering ourselves as a donor.

Its as simple as getting pricked on the finger.
